HMI and Hua Shan Hospital drive rapid development of new facilities, programs
A multispecialty health care center with a special focus on oncology is just one piece of a long-term agreement to develop training programs and to design and develop several state-of-the-art health care facilities. Hua Shan Hospital is on the way to becoming a leader in health care delivery and medical education.

 
 

Emergency medicine training initiative continues in Italy
Doctors at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Department of Emergency Medicine are leading collaborative efforts to develop a residency program that will train Italian doctors in emergency medicine. HMI is working with the team from BIDMC-EM to design the residency curriculum and is providing benchmarks for measuring the quality of patient care.

 
 

LMU students propose structure for Practical Year
Ludwig Maximilians University is leading a wave of change in Germany’s medical education system—and the students are playing an active role. While in Boston to go through clinical rotations in Harvard-affiliated hospitals, ten LMU students worked to design the curriculum for their last year of medical school.
