Advances in knowledge and technology help move research aimed at curing Alzheimer's disease from the laboratory to the clinic
Alzheimer’s has no known cure. But Alzheimer’s research is making tremendous headway. Advances in neuroimaging techniques, biological markers, and genetic and molecular findings are yielding clues about the origins and mechanisms of the disease. And recently, these discoveries have paved the way for novel treatments that may one day slow Alzheimer’s disease or prevent it altogether.
