Hospital
network in India strives for excellence as it grows
After extensive planning, Wockhardt Hospitals is opening a new specialty
hospital this summer, the first of three new facilities being planned
in Mumbai, India. A recent ten-day educational course in Boston
also gave the Wockhardt team a chance to focus on organizational
growth and hospital management.
“Quality”
programs focus on results
Since its inception, HMI has offered programs that help hospitals
make system-wide improvements in clinical quality and organizational
efficiency. Now, HMI has developed “Introduction to Clinical
Quality Management,” a product for organizations that want
to tap into HMI’s expertise without committing to a full-scale
quality management consultation.
Thinking

Planning is underway for the first global BioSecurity conference
in November, sponsored by Harvard Medical School, HMI, Harvard School
of Public Health, and Key3Media Group, Inc. Conference co-chairman
Bob Howard explains that biological weapons have a long history,
and the current defense for most countries is the public health
system.
